Welcome to the Military Retirees of the Tri State Area. Discover our enduring legacy of camaraderie, dedication, and impactful community service in Louisville, Kentucky. We are a volunteer organization that is united and concerned for both our veterans and the future of our youth.

Our proud legacy: A gathering of purpose

Formed in 1974 by three visionary men, the Military Retirees of the Tri-State Area was established out of a deep need for a place where black veterans could gather. It was a space to relax, discuss important matters, plan events, and foster fellowship during a time when such organizations were unavailable to them. Our foundation is built on this enduring spirit of community and mutual support.

Empowering veterans, nurturing the future

At the heart of the Military Retirees of the Tri State Area is a clear and powerful mission: to uplift and support not only our fellow veterans but also the youth within our community. We strive to guide and inspire, helping young individuals grow into responsible and engaged citizens, contributing positively to society.

Our dedication to service extends through a variety of meaningful activities. We proudly participate in the National Day of Service, offer crucial assistance at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and provide invaluable mentorship to young people. Through sustained community outreach, we actively work to create a positive impact where it's needed most.

We are a volunteer organization that is united and concerned! This guiding principle defines everything we do, reflecting our unwavering commitment to our members, our veterans, and the broader community of Louisville, Kentucky.
